Meet Me on Monday!!

Welcome to the 31st edition of
"Meet Me On Monday!"

Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Every Sunday I will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

"Its a great way to to meet new friends and for others to get to know me better....one Monday at a time!!!"....as quoted by the Chacogirl!! I will make this SIMPLE and FUN!!!

I  will add a linky so we can follow who participates and get to know them  better!!  Be sure to link the POST and not just your whole blog!

Questions:

1.  Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
2.  Do you read the newspaper daily?
3.  Marinara or meat sauce?
4.  Last time you cried?
5.  What word/phrase do you find really annoying?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?

I would either it any of those ways but if I had to choose I would pick a waffle cone!!

2.  Do you read the newspaper daily?

I can't even tell you the last time I read the newspaper!!  Joe loves reading it but I never can find the time to read it...plus most of it is depressing anyhow.

    3.  Marinara or meat sauce?

         Definitely meat sauce!

    4.  Last time you cried?

Last week during Desperate Housewives when Gabby was missing her birth daughter....I cry during TV shows a lot...lol...

    5.  What word/phrase do you find really annoying?

Hmmmm that's a tough one because there are probably several that I can think of!!  The first thing that came to mind was when someone says, "Yes Ma'am" to me...I just don't like the sound of it...I think because it makes me feel old!  lol..

Time to link up and meet!!

This is a blog hop so if you want to put the linky on your post just click the "Get the Code" at the bottom of the linky.

Your link MUST include your Meet Me On Monday post or it will be deleted!

    5. I said a Waffle Cone if I'm at the boardwalk. I mean really how can you go to the shore and not get a waffle cone?

      Thanks for hosting again!

    7. Hi Java,

First of all, it's so nice to meet you this way!! This is my first week here, first day actually, I found you a couple of hours ago :)

I found this meme so much fun and I can't wait to go read others' posts and learn something about them.

I'm totally with you on the ice cream, I can take it any way it comes, lol.

And the news...so depressing, in fact, that is the exact reason why I don't watch it anymore.

Ok...now I use to never miss an episode of Housewives, but now I've pretty much quit watching TV all together (well maybe an iCarly or Blues Clues with the boys every now and then, lol) but what's going on with Gabby's birth daughter?? Last I knew she had two girls???

And finally...I too cry often during TV shows and movies, in fact my daughter prides herself in making fun of me for it!!

Wow, we have quite a bit of things in common already and I've only just met you!!

    8. I'm just the opposite...i love being called Ma'am. so many children these days don't have respect for 'elders' and hearing ma'am is a breath of fresh air for me. Given, i am only 30, it doesn't make me feel old at all.

      Have a great week!

    9. I find it quite funny when people call me 'Madam' in restaurants etc. Great meme by the way!

    10. Yeah the news is definitely getting more and more depressing. :( Some days I really wish I could avoid it.

I dislike the yes Ma'am stuff too. I usually go with "dear" with people. I understand that people are trying to be polite, it just sounds so icky.

      Have a great week!

    11. I'm not a big fan of ma'am either, but I hate when people call me 'honey' especially if it is another woman. It makes me feel cheap and stupid.

    12. yes Ma'am is an annoying one...

    13. Can you believe it took me 15 blogs to find another Marinara Momma Sauce Lover! :)

      Have a great Monday everyone!

    14. I haven't watched Desperate Housewives in forever! My boys were taught at a very early age to always say "Yes Ma'am" and "No Ma'am"; when they were really little, they would even say it to teenagers! :D

    15. When I first moved to Virginia I couldn't get with the "yes ma'am" thing either. Now I often find myself saying it! Have a great week.

    16. I cry during TV shows, too. And commercials. It can be embarrassing, huh?

      ReplyDelete
    17. I waited tables through my 20's and part of my 30's. I'll never forget the day I went from, "Oh, Miss!" to "Excuse me, Ma'am!"

    18. Just saying 'Hi' whilst hopping on by.
Waffle cones appear to be very popular, I have never heard of a cake cone but they sound yummy!

    19. I so hate the Ma'am thing too. I always look to see if there is an older lady standing behind me. Usually, its only me.

    20. Ack! Two questions about food?!?! Can't you ask about broccoli?! LOLOL ;) :)

Fun Qs this week. I played. too! I hope you can visit. Have a great week!

My meme is at http://freakyfrugalite.com. Your blog comment form doesn't allow me to put that in the form. :(

    21. I absolutely love Desperate Housewives! And yes, it does make me cry, usually several times each show! How can we love something so much when it just makes us cry? Ahh, but it makes us laugh, too!
      Have a great week!
      :-D

    22. I absolutely hear you on the Yes, Ma-am phrase. I equate that as "Old", too, but at the same time it commands a certain amount of respect. I have mixed emotions, but I am not too upset when I am called ma-am when someone is being polite. Come by my blog to check out my answers...

    27. My husband says Ma'am to all women. Not just the older ones if that makes you feel any better about it. Heck I think it sounds respectful and I enjoy hearing Ma'am.
