Meet Me On Monday!!

For those of you who are joining for the first time....Welcome!  I post the questions on Sunday evening to give you time to get your post ready.  I try to make the questions simple and fun!  Its amazing how much we all have in common and yet are very different from each other.  Lets get started!  Enjoy!!!

Welcome to the 59th edition of "Meet Me On Monday!"  Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Every Sunday Never Growing Old will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

My Answers!

1.  I really need to clean my _________?
     
       Bathroom!!  After having the boys home for several days the bathroom is screaming "clean me"....I cleaned it right before they got home last week but it needs it again already.  We all use the main bathroom in the hallway since Joe works nights and he sleeps during the day so the master bathroom only gets used by Joe!

2.  What food makes you think of Christmas?

        Cookies!!! As soon as my foot heals some more I'm going to start baking!  Yum!!

3.  If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? 

        I would say 30.  How comes I can barely remember that age??  30 seems to be the perfect age because you are not too young and not too old!

4.  What was your first paying job?

      Babysitter!  I babysat a lot as a teenager!

5.  Have you read the Twilight series?

      I have not!  I'm probably one of the few that haven't read it!

Follow Friday 40 and Over!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I spent the day with my family....minus Venti and Mocha who are across the US in California. Venti is working there until December 22nd. It wasn't the same with him gone but we are looking forward to him coming home.
I am currently lying in bed because I had foot surgery on Tuesday. I had a toe spur and he also drilled a hole in the surrounding bone because of something to do with the cartlidge...ouch! I am having a hard time getting around so I'm shopping online and watching the Hallmark channel!
I wear a boot to walk and I'm using a cane. He said I could use crutches but those things are hard to use! I can get a bath and have to put my leg over the side of the tub...its a good thing I'm flexible! lol. I go back to the doctor's on Monday. I'm glad that I don't have to go back to work until December 5th because there is no way I'd be able to walk from the parking garage to my desk!
Grande and Tall are home from college until next Tuesday which is nice! Joe and I put up the tree and decorations last weekend which I am so glad we did since I can hardly walk!

My Answers!

1.  I wish I had more time to __________?
     
       Read!  I used to read all the time but I haven't picked up a book in a long time and I really miss reading.  I am having surgery on Tuesday (I have a toe spur on my left big toe) and so maybe I will have time after that!  Wish me luck!

2.  What is your favorite kind of soup?

        Tomato soup!!  I never get tired of eating it!  But I have to have LOTS of Ritz crackers in it!

3.  Where will you eat Thanksgiving dinner?

        Next door at my parents house!  I don't have to go very far!  I always make the Baked Corn and I am also making Strawberry Pretzel Dessert!!!  Yum!

4.  What is your favorite time of day?

      I would say between 9pm and 12am.  That is when everyone has settled down and is in their room, the house is quiet and the cats are snuggled at the bottom of my bed. Then its "me" time!!

5.  Did you start Christmas shopping yet?

      So far I have bought one present!  Whopee!!  lol...I am dreading the list of things that I have to get yet.  I wish Christmas wasn't all about the presents!

My Answers!

1.  Does your family/friends know about your blog?
     
       The only one that knows about it is Joe,  No one else!!

2.  What is your favorite card game?

        Solitaire!!!  I play it all the time on my iphone!!

3.  What do you wear to bed?

        I wear one of Joe's old t-shirts....nothing fancy!  I'm all about comfort!!!

4.  What is your favorite kind of French Fry?

      Shoestring!  The thinner the fry, the crispier!!  Yum!!

5.  What is your usual bed time?

      My usual bed time is around 12:45am.  Joe works nights and goes on break at 12:30am so I try to stay up to talk to him on the phone.  If I'm too tired then I usually go to bed between 11pm - 12am.

1.  Are you excited for the holidays or are you dreading them?
     
       Dreading them!  Although I do love Thanksgiving, I am definitely dreading Christmas.  I do every year.  I find it overwhelming and a big waste of money.  I wish our society wouldn't be out of control like it is.  With 4 children + a daughter-in-law it is a task in itself to purchase all their presents...plus the expense!  Maybe if money was no option I would enjoy it but since that isn't the case, I am dreading it.  :(

2.  Do you hit the snooze button or get right up?

        I always hit the snooze button!  Those 8 minutes are heaven!

3.  Do you still have your tonsils?

        Yes I do!

4.  What was the last piece of candy that you ate?

      A Butterfinger!  Actually two....but they were the bite sized one's!

5.  Do you shop at thrift stores?

      I love thrift stores!  You never know what you might find.  Joe and I always seek them out whenever we travel!
