Tuesday Tips!! Google Friend Connect Settings

I just learned something the other day and wanted to pass the information along to you.

What you might not know is that if you don't have the correct setting for your Google Friend Connect, then others won't be able to find your blog if they click on your profile!

To make sure this doesn't happen, check your settings:

After you follow a new blog, click on yourself in the Google Friend Connect box.



Click on SETTINGS



Click on ADD LINKS




Add the URL of your blogs address and your blog name in the Link name box




Click the ADD button




Now your blog is linked to your profile!!

    Thanks! That was so helpful! I had moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress awhile back and for some reason it will never allow me to comment with my WordPress ID--says I have illegal characters. So I am trying to redo my Google link so that it goes to my new blog. This was really helpful! Thanks again!

    Wow... I must have been ahead of myself (a rarity) as I had already done this... Thanks for the info! Now, if we can figure out why Firefox and Google Chrome users can't 'comment' on my blog that would be just wonderful..

    Thanks Java. My blog was listed, but my website wasn't. Got that added to my profile now. Would like to get a little foot traffic to my website to show off my children's book. Perhaps your readers would be interested. I need this to spread through the grapevine. Hint-hint! =D

    I've checked mine at several sites and they all have a link. I suspect there may also be a setting on blogger that does this automatically because I know I've never done this when I follow someone.

    wow! glad i found you. this was helpful in two ways. i have been looking like crazy on how to edit the info "about me" that shows up when someone clicks on my logo on google friend connect. well you showed me how to do that under settings.
