Meet Me on Monday!!

Welcome to the 27th edition of
"Meet Me On Monday!"

Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Every Sunday I will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

"Its a great way to to meet new friends and for others to get to know me better....one Monday at a time!!!"....as quoted by the Chacogirl!! I will make this SIMPLE and FUN!!!

I  will add a linky so we can follow who participates and get to know them  better!!  Be sure to link the POST and not just your whole blog!

Questions:

1.  What will your Christmas dinner consist of?
2.  Do you watch commercials or flip through the channels?
3.  How long will you leave your Christmas decorations up?
4.  What movie makes you cry every time you watch it?
5.  Do you have a Facebook?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  What will your Christmas dinner consist of?

      Lots and lots of food!!
  • Fruit salad
  • Turkey and stuffing
  • Ham
  • Mashed potatoes and gravy
  • Baked corn
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Cranberry relish
  • Rolls and butter
  • LOTS of desserts
My Mom makes the first three things on the list and my sisters and I make everything else!  That way no one has to do all the cooking!

2.  Do you watch commercials or do you flip through the channels?

I am a channel flipper!  I drive Joe nuts!  I can't help it....I can't stand watching the commercials so I grab the remote and start flipping!  Sometimes I forget to go back to the show we were watching and we miss some of it!  Opps!
    3.  How long will you leave your Christmas decorations up?

Till the day after Christmas!  I'm not kidding!  I can't wait to take them down and get the house back to normal!  My favorite day of the year is December 26th!  Christmas stresses me out trying to get everything done and so the day after I am relieved that its all done and over with.

    4.  What movie makes you cry every time you watch it?

It has to be Ghost!  Sniff!!!!

    5.  Do you have a Facebook?

Yes I do!  I've had one for about a year now....I got it mostly to spy on my kids....they call me a Facebook creeper!  I am totally addicted to it though....I can't help it!

    1. Great answers. I leave my decorations up until mid-January. I have over 800 ornaments on my tree and I enjoy it most after Christmas. Thank you for hosting. Have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy your feast.

    3. Number 1 sounds a lot like us. I'm also with you on Dec 26th! And apparently we can never watch Ghost together--there's just not enough Kleenex in the world!

    4. I pretty much said the same thing about my Christmas decorations - taken down ASAP. I do leave up my snowmen decorations throughout the winter, though.

    5. Hi Java! Thanks for doing this meme again this week! I so enjoy it! I think I need to ask for the recipe for Cranberry relish! Sounds good. Cranberry jelly is always part of my turkey dinner, but a relish sounds good.

    7. Hi Java! I love your answers! I am like you and want my house back in order as soon as Christmas is over - however, I usually keep my tree and decorations up until at least New Year's Day but after that all bets are off and the decorations have to go! LOL Have a great day and thanks for hosting! ;)

    9. Ha -I'm a Facebook and Twitter creeper. I am friends with my daughter on FB, so not much gets by me, but I don't follow her (or her me) on Twitter, so once a day I generally check out her account.
Ghost, I haven't watched that in forever, yep, I cry buckets!
Have a great holiday, in case I don't get a chance to join in on all the fun the rest of the week!

    14. Oh, NO, I just hate it when Honey Bear flips channels because I start watching something and he flips it...Bad Girl, Java.
Ghost: love it and yes I cry at that one too. I love the scene where she is sitting at the potter's wheel..so sexy.
      Have a great week.

    15. Good morning Java, I love your answer about taking the decorations down, I agree with you 110%! I have been known to start taking them down at after dinner on Christmas day! Have a fantastic week and I will be thinking of you on Sunday. :)

    16. Wow, that is the earliest I've heard of taking down the decorations. My wife hates all the hoopla as well, but she does allow them up until after New Years.

And yes, I'm a channel flipper too. My wife hates that I do it.

As for dinner, as long as there are mashed taters and gravy, I don't care what else we have.

I have a Facebook account, but I rarely go there and use it.

    17. I'm not the channel surfer in this fam. My husband drives me crazy sometimes doing this and guess what? The kids are just like him. The acron never falls far from the tree, right? LOL.

Check out my response to these questions...

    20. I´m a channel flipper too. Luckily my hubby let´s me. :) I hate watching commercials!
I´m always amazed at how much we are alike. Christmas stresses me out too. I can´t wait for all the hoopla to be over! I´ll probably take the decorations down the week before New Year´s. I was just saying today in our break room at work "I´ll be so glad when everything is over" (meaning Christmas and New Years). Everyone looked at me like I was crazy! :)
