My Morning...

My favorite part of the day is right after my alarm goes off (6:50am)....I love to lay there, snuggling in bed....with my cat!  lol....Ozzie who is my European Burmese always come up and cuddles with me before its time to get up and start the day.  As he lays there purring, the whole world stops in my mind....as I pet his soft ears I think about how much I would love to lay there 10 more minutes, but if I did that then my whole day would be thrown off.  Short would be late for school, I would be late for work....its just not worth it...but it sure is tempting!  I am just thankful to wake up everyday.

"When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food, and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself."

Update:
Work is going ok.  My boss (Carol) who started 2 weeks before me is totally clueless!  I am not exaggerating!  I do 80% of the work!  Its just the two of us and then a part-timer (Jamie) and its really frustrating that I am doing everything and she gets the credit for it. She even admits that she isn't cut out for the job.  I'm surprised they hired her because she told me that she and her husband owned a Subway and a Coffee Shop and BOTH business went Bankrupt!  Hummm....
Anyhow, Jamie suggested that we bring this to our bosses (Stacy) attention because its not fair that I do all the work among other things...and boy did we have a long list..well apparently they already knew the things that were going on because on Friday Stacy made a surprise visit and had Carol sign a 30 extension on her 90 day probation.  After Stacy left, Carol was so upset and said that she is looking for a new job.  Then yesterday she told me she has an interview tonight.  If she takes another job then I will most likely be asked if I want the Manager's position.  I do the job anyhow so I might as well, but then again I'm not sure if I want the responsibilities of the manager....sign....I guess I will just have to wait and see!  I'll keep you posted!

  1. Ozzie is such a beautiful cat! Our cats are bedtime snugglers. We have four cats and four daughters, so the cats never bother with me. Our German Shepherd won't let them near me anyway, so it's just as good. I hope you get the management job if it's what you really want. It would be nice to have someone competent at the helm. What field is your job in? You may have mentioned it before I became a reader or I may have read right over it while one of my little ladies was asking me something.:)

  2. Ozzie is gorgeous! I love snuggle time with our kitties too, but can't indulge in the mornings any longer since I have to drive my 10th grader to school and we leave the house at 6:30 AM! UGH.

Good luck with the job situation!

  4. I love it when a cat sleeps with me. Ours sleep with the kids every night. I have dozens of photos just like yours here. So cute.

Good luck with the job, and if you get the manager's position, and you're already doing it, think of it as more pay for what you're already doing. Hope it works out.

  5. How sweet Ozzie is. Such a nice way to wake up.

I'm sure you'd be great as a manager; you've been managing your home for years. It would be nice is more pay came with the official title.

  6. Ozzie is just too cute. :-) I don't let my cats in the bedroom (my husband's request)so I cannot snuggle with them too often. Alright, confession time....When my husband works a double I do sneak them in the bedroom for a little snuggle time. I always worry I'll fall asleep before he gets home and he will find all five of them in bed! :-)

Since you already do all the work, why not take the promotion? Hopefully the new title will come with a raise! :-) I am so happy things are going well for you.

I am glad things are heading in the right direction at work.

  11. I wish my cats snuggled like that. They tend to sleep on my legs so I can't move.

  12. Pets are a true blessing. We no longer have a cat, but our soft coated Wheaton, Miss Daisy is a sweetie pie.

Good luck with your job. By the way, what do you do?

How are the wedding plans coming?

    Hugs,
    Kat

  14. About the job... I imagine you will make that decision based upon the pay. You already have a pretty good idea about what the job is, so there won't be very many surprises. It is then just a matter of weighing the pay against the responsibilities. If they pay you enough, it may be well worth it. If they don't, then you can take a pass on it. Of course, a manager's job is easier if they hire good employees. If you are the manager, would you have a say in that process? That might be a negotiating point. I would think about the other things I would want, too, that are outside of salary that could be negotiable, but would make a huge difference in the job for you.

  15. Funny - I spend my first 10 minutes cuddling my dog..... rubbing her ears and scratching her belly and sniffing her paws (don't ask)

Good luck with the manager position. Sounds like you are already there anyway!

  16. Java: I am an animal lover. They do have intuition even women can't trump. It pays to step back and be cautious with the manager's position. What would Ozzie do?

  17. Gorgeous cat, Java! My husband and I have a Chartreuse cat named Caressa who keeps us happy. She sometimes sleeps with us and is an amazingly affectionate cat. It looks like your cat is like that, too!

I hope all goes well with your job and wedding preparations!

  18. A note on the job: Managers lose alot of friends. There's a fine line between telling an underlink what to do and telling a friend what to do.

    Just a thought....

Kitties are great alarm clocks. Mine never let me oversleep. They always know when it's time to wake up!

  21. What a sweet cuddling cat! Lovely way to start the day and I can totally relate to how much you'd like to stay there for just 5 or 10 minutes more! Hope all works out well at your job. It's certainly not fair that you are doing all the work and your "manager" is obvious getting paid more but doing much less! At least it is obvious to Stacy what is really happening!
