Meet Me On Monday!!

For those of you who are joining for the first time....Welcome!  I post the questions on Sunday evening to give you time to get your post ready.  I try to make the questions simple and fun!  Its amazing how much we all have in common and yet are very different from each other.  Lets get started!  Enjoy!!!

Welcome to the 56th edition of
"Meet Me On Monday!"

Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Every Sunday Never Growing Old will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

Java will add a linky so we can follow who participates and get to know them  better!!  Be sure to link the POST and not just your whole blog!!

Meet Me On Monday

Questions:

1.  Are you excited for the holidays or are you dreading them?
2.  Do you hit the snooze button or get right up?
3.  Do you still have your tonsils?
4.  What was the last piece of candy that you ate?
5.  Do you shop at thrift stores?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  Are you excited for the holidays or are you dreading them?

Dreading them!  Although I do love Thanksgiving, I am definitely dreading Christmas.  I do every year.  I find it overwhelming and a big waste of money.  I wish our society wouldn't be out of control like it is.  With 4 children + a daughter-in-law it is a task in itself to purchase all their presents...plus the expense!  Maybe if money was no option I would enjoy it but since that isn't the case, I am dreading it.  :(

2.  Do you hit the snooze button or get right up?

I always hit the snooze button!  Those 8 minutes are heaven!

    3.  Do you still have your tonsils?

            Yes I do!

    4.  What was the last piece of candy that you ate?

A Butterfinger!  Actually two....but they were the bite sized one's!

    5.  Do you shop at thrift stores?

I love thrift stores!  You never know what you might find.  Joe and I always seek them out whenever we travel!

Time to link up and meet!!

PLEASE either put the Meet Me On Monday button in your post or link  your post back to me.  I have found several people just posting the  questions and answers in their post and no one knows that they actually  belong to a meme and linky!

Your link MUST include your Meet Me On  Monday post or it will be deleted!  You cannot link up until your post  is complete and posted!

I have had SEVERAL people link their whole blog and not just the post and it takes a lot of time to go in and correct these so PLEASE link your Meet Me On Monday post!  You know who you are!!

I agree. Christmas has gotten too commercial...the true meaning has gotten lost in all of the "gotta haves" going on. that is very sad.

I love the kitty pic with the tonsils question. So cute. :)

    Have a great week!

Christmas has gotten out of control. Luckily my family does not go overboard! I would really love it if it were just about the decorations, music, food and family!

I'm with you on the holidays, although the boys would much rather have $, so it makes it a bit easier!
Love those Butterfingers! Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger! :D

I shop all year long...usually starting with the January clearance sales...so the expense is scattered over 12 months and doesn't bite so much....a gift doesn't have to be expensive to be cherished, just thoughtful and chosen with love...

I love Butterfingers! I haven't had any in such a long time. Mmm, I'm gonna have to get some now. Bad Java! Linking up for the first time in a long time.

I agree we are just too out of control with these holidays. That is why I could care less. I refuse to let it stress me out.I have no money and we should be very happy that food is on the table.

    Thanks for hosting!

I dread the gift buying as well. With 3 kids, 2 in laws, 6 grandchildren...well, it gets expensive. We try to limit each person to $50, but that's hard these days. We focus more on the kids than the adults. That helps some.

Hi Java, This sounds like a great idea. It seems I posted mine twice, #55 and #56. I mis-read and put the title of my post, not my blog title. DUH!!! It should say Cindys Antics as the title, NOT Meet me on Mondays. Sorry about that!!!

This looks like so much fun Java! I can't believe I haven't found your blog before. I too refuse to grow old - we are the same age :) Having a little trouble figuring this Meet me on Monday thing, but will work it out hopefully. I have only done a linkup party like this once before and it has been a while. Love all your answers - we have a lot in common already!

It's really hard to think about Christmas at this time of year. Once Thanksgiving arrives, then (and not a minute before) I'm ready to start getting ready for Christmas. I just recently found a store in Manitou Springs, Colorado, that carries Twin Bing candy bars - a favorite from my childhood. So that was my last candy! Deb @ RaisingFigureSkaters.com
