Patiently waiting!

We did not get that townhouse! But it is okay because after much thinking we are glad that it worked out that way because we actually found another one that we like better! We put the offer in this morning and haven't heard back yet! Fingers crossed!! I spent all last week at the Police Academy for training...and no I am not training to be a Trooper! Everyone that works for the State Police has to go through the week long training. It was really interesting and I got my picture taken with 2 Trooper's and their horses!

On Saturday Joe and our friends went to a wine tasting party! Boy was that ever fun! We had a blast....and way too much wine!  Can you tell?

House Hunting!

Joe and I have been house hunting! We are looking to downsize and save money as we are house poor! Most of our paychecks go towards our mortgage and we are tired of worrying about where the next dollar will come from. We looked at this beautiful townhouse last week and gave an offer but the sellers aren't willing to budge a penny and so we probably won't get that one. If we did get it, we would save $1000 a month!! I can't even imagine how nice it would be to not worry about money all the time! Here are some picture of it. I'm crossing my fingers that they accept our offer!

Helllllo!!!!

I'm here!! What a busy summer I have had! I have missed you all and I promise to be here for you from now on! Grande and Tall are back at college and so we are a family of 3 once again...they are home this weekend for clean clothes and more groceries! Short started school last week and is in the 7th grade. Venti and Mocha are doing well! No Grandbabies yet! Whew. I'm not ready to be a Noni quite yet! I'm hoping they wait until next year when they hopefully move back here! Here is a picture of the boys when we all went out to eat last weekend!

In July we went on vacation to Florida! What fun we had! It did rain everyday but it was always after 3pm and stopped by the time we went out to dinner. Here are some pictures: We went to Fort Myers, Florida.

Summer flew by so quickly and I can hardly believe that it is September already! Summer is my favorite time of the year so I'm a little sad to see it go. We have our Labor Day picnic tomorrow but it is supposed to rain from the remnants of Isaac. I'm just excited to spend the day with my family, whether it is inside or outside! That is it for now. I have grocery shopping to do and my 4th load of laundry is ready to be folded. Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!!

Meet Me On Monday Mother's Day Edition!!

For those of you who are joining for the first time....Welcome!  I post the questions on Sunday evening to give you time to get your post ready.  I try to make the questions simple and fun!  Its amazing how much we all have in common and yet are very different from each other.  Lets get started!  Enjoy!!

Welcome to the 67th edition of "Meet Me On Monday!" For this week it will be a special post Mother's Day Edition!!  Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Every Sunday Never Growing Old will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

My Answers!

1.  For Mother's Day I ____________.
Spent the morning cleaning the bathrooms and then I paid bills!  At 4pm we went next door to my parents house and had dinner with them and my sisters and their families!  After that Joe and I took a walk and then we watched the finale of Survivor!

2.  What is your favorite dish that your Mom makes?
Pot pie!!  She makes it all from scratch including the noodles!  Yum!!!

3.  Who are you a "Mom" too?
Venti (24), Grande (21), Tall (19), Short (12) and of course Ozzie, Woody and Brody.....my fur babies!!!

4.  What did you have for Mother's Day dinner?
Kentucky Fried Chicken!!  It is a tradition for as long as I can remember.  My Mom requests it and so my Dad buys lots of chicken (to feed 18 of us) and then my sisters and I each bring a side dish and a dessert.  I made homemade macaroni & cheese and brownies!!

5.  What is your fondest memory of your Mom?
Its hard to pick just one!  She has always been there for me...not only as a mother but also as my friend.  I can always count on her for anything and she always has good advice.  I think my fondest memories is when we bake Christmas cookies!!  Its always so much fun and I love baking with her!
